rasberry mojito

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 fresh raspberries
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) white rum
  • 4 ounces (1/2 cup) club soda
  • Additional raspberries and mint sprigs for garnish
  • Crushed ice (optional)

Instructions:

1. Muddle the Raspberries and Mint:

  • In a sturdy glass or a cocktail shaker, place the fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently muddle (mash) the raspberries and mint together. This releases their flavors.

2. Squeeze Lime and Add Sugar:

  • Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges into the glass. Add the granulated sugar.

3. Mix and Muddle Again:

  • Stir the mixture gently to dissolve the sugar. Continue to muddle briefly to release the lime juice and combine the flavors.

4. Add Ice:

  • Add the ice cubes to the glass, filling it about two-thirds full.

5. Pour in the Rum:

  • Pour the white rum over the ice.

6. Top with Club Soda:

  • Top off the glass with club soda. You can adjust the amount to your taste.

7. Stir Gently:

  • Stir the ingredients together gently to mix the flavors.

8. Garnish:

  • Add a few fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint to the glass for garnish.

9. Optional: Crushed Ice – If you prefer a more slushy consistency, you can use crushed ice instead of cubed ice.

10. Serve:

  • Serve your Raspberry Mojito immediately, with a straw for easy sipping.

11. Enjoy your homemade Raspberry Mojito! It’s a delightful and fruity twist on the classic mojito, perfect for a hot day or any special occasion.
