Ingredients:
- 10-12 fresh raspberries
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 ounces (1/4 cup) white rum
- 4 ounces (1/2 cup) club soda
- Additional raspberries and mint sprigs for garnish
- Crushed ice (optional)
Instructions:
1. Muddle the Raspberries and Mint:
- In a sturdy glass or a cocktail shaker, place the fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently muddle (mash) the raspberries and mint together. This releases their flavors.
2. Squeeze Lime and Add Sugar:
- Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges into the glass. Add the granulated sugar.
3. Mix and Muddle Again:
- Stir the mixture gently to dissolve the sugar. Continue to muddle briefly to release the lime juice and combine the flavors.
4. Add Ice:
- Add the ice cubes to the glass, filling it about two-thirds full.
5. Pour in the Rum:
- Pour the white rum over the ice.
6. Top with Club Soda:
- Top off the glass with club soda. You can adjust the amount to your taste.
7. Stir Gently:
- Stir the ingredients together gently to mix the flavors.
8. Garnish:
- Add a few fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint to the glass for garnish.
9. Optional: Crushed Ice – If you prefer a more slushy consistency, you can use crushed ice instead of cubed ice.
10. Serve:
- Serve your Raspberry Mojito immediately, with a straw for easy sipping.
