Parmesan Linguine Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces (340g) linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Linguine:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until it’s al dente (usually about 8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

2. Prepare the Sauce:

  • While the pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to brown or burn the garlic.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir, allowing it to heat up.

3. Add Parmesan Cheese:

  • Gradually add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the cream sauce. Stir continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

4. Season:

  • Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

5. Combine with Cooked Linguine:

  • Once the linguine is cooked to your liking, drain it, and then add it directly to the skillet with the Parmesan cream sauce.
  • Toss the pasta in the sauce until it’s well coated. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of the pasta cooking water to reach your desired consistency.

6. Garnish:

  • Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the pasta and give it a final toss.

7. Serve:

  • Plate the Parmesan linguine pasta in individual bowls. Grate some additional Parmesan cheese over the top, and garnish with more fresh parsley if desired.

8. Enjoy your creamy Parmesan linguine pasta! This dish is simple, yet incredibly flavorful, making it a perfect meal for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.
